My stay at the Dalmeny Hotel was a mixed bag. On one hand, the staff was super friendly and the breakfast selection was solid. However, the room I was initially given lacked WiFi and had a pretty uninspiring view. I had to ask for more towels and pillows, and the dining options were limited, especially for dinner. Despite these issues, I enjoyed the spacious room once I got upgraded and appreciated the pool facilities.
Rooms
6.0
Initially, I was put in a basement room with a view of a brick wall, which felt more like university accommodation. After asking for a change, I got upgraded to a third-floor room with a sea view and a balcony, which was much more pleasant.
Service
8.0
The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. They were quick to assist me with changing rooms and provided extra pillows and towels when I asked for them. Check-in was efficient and they offered a welcome drink as well.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is solid, right on the seafront and close to the beach. It's great for taking long walks and easily accessing local attractions, making it convenient for exploring the area.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a highlight with plenty of options. However, the dinner menu felt repetitive, with the same dishes coming up multiple nights. I was also disappointed by the cold meals on a couple of occasions.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was nice, allowing only a limited number of guests at a time, which made for a more relaxing experience. However, the dining options were lacking in variety, and the lack of entertainment in the evenings was a bummer.

I had a fantastic time at the Dalmeny Hotel! The spacious seaview room with a balcony was a real treat, and the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The only downsides were the dated music in the bar and the lack of some activities for older kids, but overall, I really enjoyed the variety of dining options and the hotel's location right on the seafront.
Rooms

My seaview room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely balcony. The bathroom was huge with a separate shower and loo, but I found the pillows were a bit worn out.

Situated right on the seafront, it was super easy to access the beach and enjoy seaside activities. Plus, I loved how close it was to Lytham and Blackpool.
Dining

The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious with a lot of variety, definitely more than just a typical carvery. Breakfast options were solid too!
Facilities
8.0
The leisure facilities, including the pool and the jacuzzi, were fantastic. There were also plenty of spots to relax and grab some tea, though I did find the bar's atmosphere a bit lacking.

I had a mixed stay at the Dalmeny Hotel. While the family suite I was given had an amazing sea view and was spacious, the room initially assigned to me was rather disappointing with a view of a brick wall. The breakfast spread was lovely, but the evening dining options were limited and repetitive. The staff were generally friendly, but I encountered some issues with room cleanliness and WiFi connectivity. Overall, it was a decent experience with a few noticeable drawbacks. 🌊🍽️

I recently stayed at the Dalmeny Hotel, and while I appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere and the variety of activities for my kids, there were several disappointments. The room was quite small for a family of four, and we faced issues with the bed that left me uncomfortable for most of our stay. The breakfast was enjoyable, though I noticed some areas that could use improvement as well.
Rooms
5.0
The family room was cramped for all of us; it had a double bed and bunk beds, which made getting the kids to sleep a challenge. The room also needed some aesthetic updates and was too hot for comfort.
Service
6.0
The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, which made the stay more pleasant. They worked hard to resolve our bed issue quickly, but the discomfort affected my enjoyment.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally located on the seafront and is very close to the town center, making it convenient for seaside activities.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast offered a good variety, from full English to fruits and cereals; however, I felt the coffee could be improved given its quality.
Facilities
6.0
The pool and children's activities were a hit with my kids, and the cleanliness of the facilities was commendable. However, some common areas felt worn and could benefit from some updates.
